Think Gray Psychotherapy
"Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate"
- Carl Jung -
Think Gray Psychotherapy is run by Sophie Gray (B.Psych(Hons); M.Couns&Psychotherapy), who focuses on helping people of all ages overcome mental health challenges.
(Excuse me as I change from third to first person - I can't stand the awkwardness of writing about myself as "she"!)
I aim to help people flourish.
My philosophy centres around resilience, not removal of problems. Life throws curveballs all the time, and I pride myself on empowering clients to deal with them. My clients finish therapy with an understanding of themselves, the purpose of their ‘negative' emotions, and how to cope with life.
Throughout my life, I have battled with anxiety and depression, and also have two young kids, so I understand how challenging it can be to heal when life is still happening around you! However, I practice what I preach and hold myself accountable to my own healing every day.
I believe we are all capable of becoming stronger than our problems to live a meaningful and happy life... but we don't have to do it alone.
I was totally blown away by her ability to adeptly describe awkward topics and paint a cohesive picture of what’s going on. Her receptive nature not only makes it a comfortable place to open up, but also allows the content (which can be confronting-you’re talking about feelings) to be digestible and relevant to you.
